DNP, FNP-C | Family Nurse Practitioner & Ordained Chaplain
Chaplain Dr. Johnson I. Johnson-Martell is a doctorally prepared Family Nurse Practitioner and ordained chaplain dedicated to meeting people where they are with love, compassion, dignity, and respect.
With more than 26 years in healthcare, Dr. Johnson worked her way from home health assistant and CNA to LPN, RN, and ultimately Family Nurse Practitioner. Her personal experience growing up in the foster care system also shaped her understanding of poverty, hardship, and the life-changing impact compassionate support can have.

Since May 2024, Love The Tree of Life Clinic has been committed to meeting people where they are and providing compassionate, practical support to individuals and families throughout our community. What began with a heart to serve has grown into thousands of meaningful moments of care, connection, and hope.
From medical appointments and mental health support to meals, clothing, resource referrals, personal care items, and faith-centered services, our work is focused on supporting the whole person. Every service provided represents someone who was seen, supported, and treated with dignity during a time when they needed it most.
With more than 77,000 services provided and over 1,200 medical appointments completed, the impact continues to grow. These numbers are made possible through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, community partners, and generous donors who believe in the mission of Love The Tree of Life Clinic.
Together, we are helping strengthen our community one person, one need, and one life at a time.
